After months of painting, writing, editing, and illustrating, the cover for The Night the Gumdrop Fell finally came to life in watercolor.

In this video, deep blue washes swirl across the paper as a glowing gumdrop and three tiny fairies emerge beneath a magical night sky. This painting became the cover illustration for my children's picture book and represents the beginning of the story—and the completion of a wonderful creative journey.
