Planting Tiny Candy Seeds | A Morning in the Fairy Garden

Beneath the quiet morning sky, the fairies return to the garden carrying pieces of the fallen gumdrop.

One by one, they press the tiny candy seeds into the earth, hoping something beautiful will grow.

This watercolor painting is part of my upcoming picture book, The Night the Gumdrop Fell — a gentle story of friendship, patience, and small acts of hope beneath the grass.

In this longer painting video, I share the soft layering of watercolor washes, morning light, delicate fairy details, and the peaceful atmosphere surrounding the candy garden after the journey is complete.
